Full Time

– Job summary –
FieldhouseUSA is looking for a Sports Director to develop, administer and plan sports leagues for youth and adult participants. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing a wide range of sport and recreation activities, programs and leagues. He/she will provide opportunities for sport and encourage a positive experience to all athletes. As a Sports Program Director at FieldhouseUSA, you serve as a leader within the facility. You will be responsible for league management and development which will include registration, team formation and scheduling of the assigned sports league. In addition you may be asked to serve as a site coordinator for particular shifts.

Responsibilities include:
• Organize, plan and run year-around sport programs
• Schedule sport leagues, activities, and facility space needed to properly coordinate programs
• Communicate and maintain continual contact with league members, including coaches, players and parents
• Assist with facility operations, transitions and management
• Be familiar with FieldhouseUSA policies, procedures and rules about leagues, programs, activities and events
• Supervise casual employees (including referees, score keepers, and front desk staff)
• Ensure program information is available and up-to-date
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current sport programs and identify areas where new programs may be needed
• Promote and advertise sport programs in order to ensure that FieldhouseUSA customers are aware of available opportunities and activities
• Monitor the use of FieldhouseUSA equipment and facilities
• Perform other related duties as required*
• *Other duties include (but not limited to) answering phones and emails from customers, providing assistance with program selection for the customers, preparing flyers and packets for teams and players, and fulfilling any customer assistance related task including working the front desk. It will be expected that the highest level of customer service will be provided.

– Minimum requirements –
The candidate should be a college graduate with an emphasis on sports management, recreation management, business or marketing. The candidate should possess computer skills including Microsoft Office, previous customer contact experience and a sports background. The outstanding candidate will have an outgoing personality, self-motivated, creative drive and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

– Abilities required –
The position may require some lifting and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods. You must be a sports driven individual to thrive in this environment.

– Salary –
This position is a salary position compensated based on qualifications and experience. The position offers medical benefits. The candidate may elect to purchase additional insurance (i.e. dental, vision, etc.).

PART-TIME

– Job summary –
As a Sports Assistant at FieldhouseUSA you serve as the first point of contact with all patrons of the facility. The primary responsibility is providing the highest level of customer service through a greeting, registering participants, resolving issues, and assuring that everyone has a great experience. This will be achieved by keeping up to date with all programs offered so that you can assist the customer in the proper selection of the best program based on their needs. You will interact both in person and over the phone with customers in regard to registration and league questions. In addition you will assist the various Sports Directors with data entry, phone messaging and emails as required. You may be called on from time to time for other duties within the facility as needed.

– Minimum requirements –
This position requires a High School education, computer skills including Microsoft Office, previous customer contact experience and a sports background highly recommended.

– Abilities Required –
The position may require some lifting, good communication skills and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods.

REFEREES | SCOREKEEPER

– Scorekeepers –
Timekeepers are responsible for running the scoreboards for all league games at FieldhouseUSA. The individual needs to have a basic knowledge of sports. Timekeepers make sure that the roster forms for each game are filled out correctly and that the score for each game is turned in. Timekeepers may also be asked to help set up and tear down if the games they are working require additional equipment.

– Referees –
Referees at FieldhouseUSA are to maintain the safety of all participants and insure that the rules of the sport that they are working are enforced properly. They are to act in a professional manner to all players, coaches and fans. After game reports may be required.
